XSTREAM Afterschool Enrichment Program was created to expand access to meaningful, hands-on learning for K–12 students beyond the limits of standardized testing. Founded by a mom of three, XSTREAM began after witnessing her daughter’s exclusion from a school gifted and talented program, despite being a straight-A student. A single test score placed her just below the cutoff, leaving her behind while peers participated in advanced learning opportunities. 

That experience revealed a critical gap in education: student potential cannot be measured by test scores alone. In response, we began developing enrichment programs outside the traditional classroom. The impact was immediate—students regained confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. This vision became My Fun House (MFH), an inclusive after-school enrichment program designed for students of all academic levels and economic backgrounds who are motivated to learn and grow.

What started as a small STEM enrichment program focused on architecture and sustainability quickly evolved. Today, XSTREAM offers a cross-disciplinary, project-based curriculum providing a holistic educational experience for ages 10 -14 learners. After serving more than 500 students across Austin, Texas, and Mission Viejo, California, our mission outgrew our original name.  We became the XSTREAM Afterschool Enrichment Program, reflecting our commitment to innovative, hands-on, and inclusive education.

The founder’s daughter once excluded from enrichment went on to graduate cum laude from a prestigious Texas university, reinforcing XSTREAM’s core belief: potential is not defined by a single test.

Today, XSTREAM delivers its online after-school enrichment programs globally, offering creative, story-driven, and student-centered learning experiences to families worldwide.
